Computer Society Of India (CSI) was formed in 1965, since then CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path. Today, the CSI has 72 chapters all over India, 511 student branches, and more than 100000 members including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.
The department of Computer Science and Engineering of Anjuman College of Engineering and Technology registered for CSI in the year 2013 and comes under the Region VI of CSI.
The college owes an Educational Institution Membership of CSI and the membership has been renewed every year. At present the institute and student chapter of CSI have 6 of faculty members registered and around 200 students members in CSE department of ACET.
The CSI Student Branch coordinator is Prof. M. S. Khatib and Co-coordinator is Prof. Itrat Fatema.
Every year the students from the third and final year will be made as a team to form the CSI student chapter committee where the president is elected from final year students.

“ Computer Society of India ” Institute and Student Branch Chapter
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, Sadar, Nagpur, has installed the student body for “Computer Society of India ” institute and student branch chapter on 13th October 2015. The function was inaugurated at the hands of Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Vinod Assudani, RKNEC, Nagpur and Mr.Deepak Joshi, Mihan, Nagpur and Prof. Dr. Sajid Anwar, Principal, Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, Sadar, was prominently present for the occasion.
On this occasion the committee of the Student Office bearers of the Computer Society of India was constituted. Mr. Deepak Joshi has guided the students for career opportunities and Prof. Dr. Vinod Assudani has delivered a key note on Motivation & Personality Development. Mr. Abdul Malik, President of CSI Student Body has briefed the benefits of CSI chapter and detailed the events carried out under the banner of CSI in previous year and also the scheduled and forthcoming committee.
Prof. Dr. Sajid Anwar, Principal, ACET has appreciated the enrollment of CSI chapter and encouraged to see that this chapter should be the best chapter.
Prof. M. S. Khatib, Head CSE & SBC-CSI, Prof. Itrat Fatema, Co-coordinator, other staff members and students of the department had worked hard for the success of the function and student committee member Tasmiya Patka concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
EVENTS ORGANISED UNDER THE BANNER OF COMPUTER SOCIETY OF INDIA (C.S.I)
A Two Day EVENT-- DA VINCI CODE AND PEPER PRESENTATION CONDUCTED BY ACET March 2016.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering has conducted a two day event: Computer Society of India, Regional Meet on CSI Day Celebration’ on 06th March, 2016. Prof. M.S. Khatib, Head, CSE, Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, blessed the occasion by a inaugurating the event on ‘CSI Day Celebration’.
A coding event, “DA VINCI CODE” & paper presentation discussion named as “Techno-Docs” (on latest trends and technologies) was conducted by CSI student & staff members, Prof. Taheseen ul Hasan, ETC, ACET was the expert and more than 200 Students had participated in these events.
CSI staff members also supported these events. Prof. Samina Anjum & Prof. Kaneez Khatoon, CSE deptt. were present for “Techno-Docs” and Prof. Anwarul Siddique & Prof. Imteyaz Shahezad were present for “DA VINCI CODE” events and the entire event is coordinated by SBC, Prof. MS Khatib and co-coordinator Prof. Itrat Fatema, CSE, ACET. Also cash prizes and Certificates for “Best DA VINCI”, and “Best Techno-Docs”, were distributed.
These events were planned by CSI student and staff members and supported by Honorable Principal Prof. Dr. Sajid Anwar, Event Coordinators and the Students of Computer Science and Engineering department had worked hard for the success of events.
