Description


Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering was established since inception of the college in 1999 with the present annual intake of 60 students. In tune with the growing demand in Communication across the globe, a Post Graduate Course M.Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering) is started from the year 2014. The department possesses experienced and qualified teaching faculties with specializations in Wireless Communication, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Communication Networks, and Signal Coding.

The Department came into existence with a mission to provide value based technical education and to mould the character of the younger generations, through synthesis of science and engineering. To prepare graduates who possess the necessary foundation required to take up gainful employment in core and allied sectors. The program provides knowledge necessary to comprehend fundamentals of both hardware and software engineering fields.

The Department has well equipped laboratories including Research and Project laboratories with high-end equipments required to make students Industry ready. Department takes pride in having sophisticated machines, such as the PCB designing machines. Department is having its own fully updated computer lab with internet facility. The department annually releases its newsletter “X- PRESS”. The department has gained the distinction of producing merit holders with students appearing among the top University rankers.

There is a tremendous requirement of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers every year in the fields like Mobile communication, Networking, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Signal processing etc. This only goes to indicate that, as in past, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering discipline will continue to offer lucrative jobs for many more years to come, hence probably termed as an evergreen branch of Engineering.
